Denver American Restaurants
Found on East Sixth Avenue, Fruition was awarded with 16 out of 20 stars from Gayot.com. Chef Alex Seidel runs this upscale American restaurant. The restaurant has limited seating, with room only for 52 diners. The food is considered refined comfort food with big, bold flavors. The interior features soft lights, butter hues and tables decked out with white tablecloths. The menu is small, with only seven starters and seven entrees to select from but Chef Seidel constantly changes the menu to reflect the seasons. Types of dishes you can expect include pasta carbonara, homemade chicken noodle soup with roasted chicken and noodles and butter-poached salmon.
The Palace Arms in the Brown Palace Hotel is a top 10 Denver Restaurant according to opentable.com. This eatery serves up traditional and comforting American fare like Beef Wellington and Colorado bison but with an elegant twist. Wine Spectator Magazine selected the Palace Arms as the “Best of Award of Excellence”. Immediately after arriving, guests are served a complimentary flute of Billecart Salmon Brut Rose and an amuse bouche to set the tone for the elegant meal. The servers are extremely knowledgeable on the menu and can recommend the perfect wine paring with the list of mouthwatering dishes. Attention to detail is practiced here to perfection.
SAME Café on East Colfax Avenue stands for So All May Eat. This unique American restaurant is the brainchild of the Birkys after many years of volunteering at food banks and shelters. At SAME, there is no set menu nor are there set prices because the Birky’s wanted a restaurant where everyone had the chance to eat healthy food, regardless of economic status. Dishes are prepared daily and are made using organic, fresh ingredients. Instead of having a cash register, there is only a donation box where people pay what they feel the meal is worth. If a diner does not have sufficient money, they are encouraged to exchange an hour of service for their meal.
